Back to the basics

Following a season in which my favorite reality show nearly destroyed itself, this piece of good news is somewhat encouraging. Seems executive producer Allison Grodner got the message from disgruntled Big Brother fans like me while preparing for the show’s 10th season - keep it simple, stupid! The show’s not supposed to be a beauty contest or have a twist around every corner. It works best when it’s stripped down to its core - a dozen or so ruthless strangers locked in a house for a summer who must skillfully manipulate their way toward the endgame by cutting each others’ throats in the hopes of a handsome payoff.

Don’t let me down tomorrow, houseguests. It’s all up to you.
