Yesterday is Gone

Sad times are upon us, friends. Following a year of unparalleled sportsmanship and a humility the likes of which have not been seen since Mother Teresa, your beloved reigning Buchs Cup Championship Series king was unceremoniously dethroned yesterday in a stunning upset of unimaginable proportion. In a written statement read by his attorney and addressed to his millions upon millions of devastated fans, cultural folk hero and renowned humanitarian Hermann the Malevolent expressed his thanks for the many years of unconditional devotion and generous financial contributions.

“Thanks, or whatever,” said a visibly shaken - and absent - Hermann. “Keep sending money.”

When asked whether or not he plans on challenging the newly-crowned Series champion, Bryan Buchs, in the 2009 Buchs Cup season, Hermann had the following to say:
