They say this one has a surprise ending.

I used to love M. Night Shyamalan. Then Signs happened. Then The Village. Then Lady in the Water. Then The Happening. It seems all the magic that made his early work so memorable got used up all too soon.

So it’s with much trepidation that I process this information. I absolutely loved 2000’s superhero classic, Unbreakable. With a string of such unmitigated disasters to his credit over the last eight years, I can’t tell if this is Shyamalan’s last desperate attempt at salvaging his once-promising reputation as a filmmaker, or if it’ll be a genuinely fresh idea that re-establishes him as one of Hollywood’s premier storytellers. I’m hoping for the latter.
